Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs: How Does $30k for Your Business Sound?

A strategic use of technology can go a long way in taking a business to the next level – that’s no secret – but how would it help your business specifically? Actually, let me be more specific. How would a $30,000 investment in technology help your business?

These are the types of questions that you should be thinking about if you aren’t already. You’ve got the vision, you’ve got a good model – but how are you going to step that up a notch? If it’s something you’ve thought about, this could be your big shot at making it happen. I’m talking about that $30,000 investment.

Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs is an annual contest that grants these types of investments to winners all across the country every year. Before they do – they want to know what you’re going to do with that investment. The contest website, where you would visit in order to sign up, states that eligible participants would be “Registered businesses within the Comcast footprint that are either Startups (in business for less than two years) or Entrepreneurs (in business for more than two years). Companies must have fewer than 50 employees and they cannot be a franchise.”

The deadline to enter is THIS SUNDAY (3/15/15) so we’d suggest you have your plan ready. If you do – the good news is that you only need to enter a 250 word essay to sum it up. Why is your business different? What makes you the most deserving of the investment? How exactly will you use it? 250 words is the max so you just really need to hit the main points.

After everyone has entered, judges will select two winners in each of the 16 Comcast Business Regions: one Startup and one Entrepreneur. Each of these winners will be awarded a $10,000 investment.

Then – “from these 32 winners, six will be named as GRAND PRIZE Winners and will receive an additional $20,000 and a special trip to Comcast headquarters in Philadelphia – where they will meet with Business Innovation Experts to discuss how to put their technology plan into action!”

Last year’s contest was a great success so we would expect this year’s to be the same. You can check out the inspiring stories of 2014’s Grand Prize winners and how they benefited for Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs here.

Who’s going to be 2015’s winners? There will certainly be a couple of first round winners from the Colorado region, but we’re hoping to see at least one of them heading to Philly as a Grand Prize winner.

If you enter, let us know and we’ll shout you out in a feature!
