The Art Gallery at the Denver Performing Arts Complex (or DPAC if you’re into the whole brevity thing) presents “Grounded in Flight,” a trip that begins with a look at modern day relics and takes you all the way to other side of the moon. The showcase features Daniel House Kelly, Chris Tidd, G. Cody Day, and Richard Hart. So check out the opening reception (show lasts through June 27th) with live music, an Art Bar, and Backstage Coffee hors d’oeuvres to whet the appetite. (photo)

Saturday

Valverde Bazaar 1-Day Pop Up Market (Eron Johnson Antiques, 389 S Lipan St, Denver, CO 80223)

Westword (of Westword fame) voted this Denver’s Best New Flea Market in 2014, and it will surely live up to its expectations this Saturday. This little shebang brings together on-the-rise artisans and independent businesses selling vintage, antique, and handmade products. There are over 85 booths and food trucks setting up shop in the antiques yard of Eron Johnson Antiques this year. Check out this once a year phenomenon and support local artisans and businesses. Five Points Jazz Festival (Welton & 27th, Denver, CO 80205)

Let the Jazzman take your blues away at this free festival celebrating jazz and Denver’s Five Points neighborhood. What used to be known as the Harlem of the West, Five Points was the humble abode for several jazz clubs that have hosted greats like Miles Davis. Each year this event grows in popularity, which means it gets super crowded. Fear not, there’s plenty of booze, food, and jazz to make this a smooth night to remember. (photo)

Hilltop Annual Garage Sale 2015

If you’re a fan of bargain hunting, decluttering, and swapping junk with other members of your community, get ready for The Hilltop Annual Garage Sale from 10am-2pm. Last year, 27 sellers sold most of their homes out. Some of their kids even got in on the action by slinging lemonade and baked goods at stands. No, not those kind of baked goods, this is a family affair. The sellers map will be both interactive and printable and will be published here on Friday the 15th. (photo)

Denver’s DIVAS (Charlie’s Denver, 900 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80218)

Who doesn’t love a good drag show? Awarded 2015 Best Longest Running Drag Show by the Denver Westword, Denver’s DIVAS features a plethora of drag performers and songs to make your Sunday a Sinful Sunday. Hosted by the incredibly entertaining Shanida Lawya at Charlie’s Denver. End your Sunday a little fabulously. (photo)
