Colorado is known for its amazing brewery and beer enthusiast culture. And who better to share our collective love of beer with than other Coloradans? At Collaboration Fest, a unique beer festival in it’s second year, breweries from around Denver and the nation teamed up to produce one of a kind brews for the event. Sound interesting? Here’s how breweries 4 Noses Brewing, Big Choice Brewing and Wonderland Brewing described their concoction:
This ménage a trois collaboration starts with a Belgian wit base recipe. After adding loads of lemongrass and rose hips to the mash and boil, each brewery used different yeasts to impart a distinctly different flavor. To top it all of, a modest dose of vanilla beans were added during conditioning to get the flavor explosion.
The event, held at Sports Authority Field at Mile High (1701 Bryant St, Denver, CO 80204), is in it’s second year and featured over 70 vendors. We had a chance to stop by the event which was organized by imbibe!, to check out some of the tasty collaborations.
