Istonish: Meet the Company Managing 1245 Champa

It’s already shaping up to be an exciting spring for Annette Quintana, co-founder of Istonish. Not only is the company she founded with her sister, Victoria, back in 1990 celebrating its 25th year in the IT business this April, but it’s also taken charge of managing the project at 1245 Champa Street which opens this month.

However, don’t let Quintana’s excitement fool you — she is certainly no stranger to experiencing triumph throughout her successful career.

Aside from being known for delivering excellent and outstanding technology staffing and consulting services to Istonish’s many clients, Quintana has been named one of the top 25 powerful women in Colorado, a finalist for Minority Business Person of the Year, and served as a board member and past chair of the Colorado Technology Association — which is how she found her connection to this exciting project.

Quintana started her career in tech at IBM after graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in chemical engineering. After several years, it was on to new ventures with her sister where they overcame what was a largely male-dominated tech industry to start up what began as an IT staffing company. This staffing company eventually ended up expanding into consulting and management of IT infrastructure for all types of clients in government, cable, healthcare industries, and more.

The mission of Istonish states that they work to help organizations extract value from their technology investments by doing the following:

  • Assisting with the selection and design or building of technology solutions, in a manner that emphasizes innovation, mobility, agility, technical currency and best practices
  • Efficiently and effectively managing IT infrastructure and assets so that they are technically current, reliable, available and secure
  • Building, integrating and managing customer contact solutions that are customized, efficient and smart, enabling clients to interface with customers in the ways they want to connect
  • Providing exemplary technical talent to augment the resource needs of IT projects

The company’s involvement at 1245 Champa will primarily focus on the management of technology infrastructure and, as Quintana said, “providing ongoing support for the IT systems in the facility” that includes wireless, audio visual, and display devices which will be initially set up by the other partners.

Quintana is excited for the onset of this project in that “number one, we’re hoping to see a very positive kickoff in our community. Being a part of a team in which the tech point of view is seamlessly in cooperation between the CTA, the Downtown Denver Partnership has been great.”

Number two — she is excited for the project at 1245 Champa to be one of Denver’s premier “hubs for cultivating entrepreneurship and innovation alike.”

The second floor of 1245 Champa is set to open later this month, while the rest is likely to open late April-early May. See you there.
