#DenverDogs: Take Your Dog To Work Day, Every Day

Whether you’re a cat person, a dog person, or a goldfish person, we can all agree: pets make everything better. Most commonly hailed as our feel-good fuzzy friend, dogs have been shown to measurably improve moods, productivity, and the overall culture everywhere they go. Universities already invite dogs to campus to help ease the stress of exams, and now many workplaces have jumped on the pet-friendly bandwagon for the benefit of their employees, patrons, and pooches.
As a part of our Take Your Dog To Work Day #DenverDogs festivities, we discovered some workplaces in the Denver area that are extending canine hospitality daily in some innovative and inviting ways!
David Littman Law Firm
David Littman practices family law, which can sometimes get messy. Divorces and child custody disputes are not always a happy occasion, but the firm’s dog-friendly policy can make dealing with big issues a bit easier. Littman and his associate’s dogs, Trevor and Lucy, help create a more comforting environment for clients going through hard times. He invites other dogs to join in as well, as he proclaims in his dog-friendly employer status on his website.
Ombud
Denver-based software company Ombud boasts a friendly pup on their 10-person, one-dog team of developers. The office is pet-friendly, and they offer monthly grooming and daily runs/walks by a dog walker to visiting pets! Also, we heard there’s a dog pantry and company-sponsored dog picnics (dog picnics sound like the best thing ever). Forget that all dogs go to heaven — all dogs go to Ombud.
EffectiveUI
EffectiveUI’s dog-friendly mantra is a testament to their company emphasis on work-life balance and employee happiness. Every employee is invited to bring their dog to work, and they have about four-to-five pooches in the office on a typical workday. The company itself creates user-friendly web and software experiences, and they’ve certainly shown their friendliness with their willingness to add happy helping pets into the office mix.
Boa Technology
Boa Technology provides a dog-friendly environment within their rapidly growing business. They’re up to 72 employees, but that doesn’t stop them from hosting dog-friendly events and putting on pet health/wellness programs!
LeashLocket
LeashLocket is a company that produces pet products, and is one that truly cares about the needs of their animals. LeashLocket offers a pet-centric office environment by allowing employees to bring along their own pups- and the company even allots time for dog walking! The office boasts a plethora of treats, chews, and toys for visiting dogs, plus doggy beds for midday naptime.
